While the Obama Presidential Center celebrated their Grand Opening Ceremony with a Who’s Who of A-list celeberties, goverment officials, clergy and three former Presidents in attendance, thousands of people were able to participate in the celebration at a watch party held at the Midway Plaisance a short distance away.
The vibe was electric as a live DJ flooded the Midway with House Music to set the mood before the ceremony began. Attendees were also able to sample a number of local food trucks and businesses which lined the Midway on either side. Actress and producer Masai Martin served as the host/emcee for the watch party and interviewed various attendees who came from far and wide to celebrate the Grand Opening.
