A good skincare routine isn’t just based on the kind of products you invest in for your skin. Healthy and beautiful skin has a lot to do with the habits you form to keep your skin healthy and happy.

  1. Moisturize. For a convenient container to carry some of your favorite moisturizer fill a small jar or an empty lip gloss container. This perfectly portable container can be stashed in your purse, car, travel bag or even your desk drawer at work. When your skin starts drying up, apply a drop of moisturizer.
  2. Eyebrows. Put Vaseline on your eyebrows before you go to sleep. This will make your eyebrows look better and shiny. Avoid getting Vaseline anywhere else on your face because it can cause unwanted acne breakouts.
  3. Lips. Avoid licking your lips. When you constantly lick your lips, rather than become moist, they actually dry out. Try carrying a lip balm or gloss in your pocket or purse, and put it on anytime you feel like doing some licking. You will soon find your lips in beautiful condition.
  4. Feet. To keep feet looking beautiful, especially during the warmer, dryer summer months, try applying Vaseline to them every day. It will keep them smooth and soft. Then go get yourself a pedicure and a pair of brand new sassy sandals, and you’ll have the best looking feet of the season.
  5. Makeup Tools. Invest the extra money in a set of quality makeup brushes. Remember, these tools will be touching your face every single day. Spending more on these brushes can get you a set that will last for years.
  6. Brush Cleaner. You should also pick up a bottle of brush cleaner, which is to be used regularly, at least twice per week. This removes dust and bacteria.
  7. Care for Tools. In order to prevent breakouts and maintain pure makeup colors, you should frequently wash your makeup brushes. Use a gentle soap and warm water to rinse until the water runs clear. Thoroughly rinse the applicators, and then allow to dry on a clean hand towel. This helps to keep makeup from building up. It also gets rid of bacteria that can damage your skin and cause acne.
